Pops On a Quiet Front

hmmm... seems to me that pops is more on the quiet front these days.... Good for her... after that much talked about spat with her ex-husband martin last july till early January of this year, pops enjoys a quieter stance....

but indirectly, i can't help but think of how pops will react to the present 'intrigues' hounding some of her closest friends in showbiz which hugs the limelight and headlines even sometimes eclipsing the more pressing national issues and concerns....

case # 1 - the gretchen barretto-nadia montenegro rift

pops is close to both. gretch is part of the current showbiz barkada of pops along with ruffa gutierrez and ruffa mae quinto.

nadia on the other hand is a close friend and kumare of pops (to pops' best buddy liezl martinez' youngest daughter alissa martinez) and i think a good friend also of pops' current beau jomari yllana..

kunsabagay, knowing pops, she would rather keep quiet and neutral and would just wish that her two friends will be able to fix their fiasco..

case # 2 - the regine velasquez big switch(?) from being a kapuso to kapamilya

for almost two weeks now, regine is hugging the headlines for admitting that indeed, there are offers from both ABS-CBN and GMA and that she is ambivalent about it.

altho last monday, it was reported that she will stay with GMA but still the rumors persist.

will she or will she not?

pops for her part might have better suggestions for her close pal regine. afterall, she had a first hand experience herself when she transferred from being a kapamilya to kapuso and now, as a freelancer.....

the network war is really at its hottest so regine's decision might add insult to injury so to speak....
